Partridge remains girls scoring leader

Union High’s Savannah Partridge continues to lead in the county girls basketball statistics.

Partridge, a 5-foot-5 guard, is averaging 21.1 points per game. She’s scored 254 points in 12 contests and has registered double digits in every game this season.

The sophomore also leads the county with 30 3-pointers.

New Castle’s Kaylynn Waters regained the No. 2 spot on the scoring list after 26- and 20-point performances in wins over Ellwood City and Hampton.

Chelsea Kauffman of Neshannock is third at 17.7 ppg, while Ellwood City’s Michelle Nocera is fourth at 16.6.

Waters and Shenango’s Carly Senko are tied for second in 3-point field goals with 26. Kauffman and teammate Ericka Warvell are fourth with 24.

Shenango’s Angelene Rapone regained the lead in free-throw percentage. Rapone is 32 of 40 for 80.0 percent.
