Thomas still leads the way
Jan 26, 2010
Union High’s Anthony Thomas continues to lead the way in the county boys basketball statistics.

Thomas, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, boasts a county-high 28.1 scoring average to lead the boys list. He has registered 366 points in 13 games.

Thomas also leads the county in 3-pointers with 44. Neshannock’s Bobby Nittinger, a 6-4 senior guard, claimed sole possession of second place in 3-pointers with 39 after draining nine in a 67-65 victory over the Scotties on Friday.

Laurel’s Eric Wallas claimed the lead in free-throw percentage. Wallas, a 5-9 senior guard, is 34 of 38 for 89.4 percent. The minimum attempts to qualify for recognition is 38.

Wallas had fallen short of the required attempts to qualify for the free throw accuracy lead in previous weeks.
