Union’s Partridge still smokin’
Jan 20, 2010
Union High’s Savannah Partridge continues to light up scoreboards.

The sophomore guard leads the county in points per game (21.8) and 3-pointers (28).

Partridge has scored double digits in all of the Lady Scots’ 11 games.

Neshannock’s Chelsea Kauffman jumped up to No. 2 on the scoring list (17.8) thanks to 19- and 22-point performances in the Lady Lancers’ last two wins over Mercer and New Brighton.

Kauffman previously was in fourth place behind New Castle’s Kaylynn Waters and Ellwood City Lincoln’s Michelle Nocera.

Waters now is third (17.3) and Nocera is fourth (16.6).

Mohawk’s Alyssa Natale has knocked down 52 of 67 attempts from the foul line for a county-best 77.6 percent. Natale’s teammate, Brooke Shasteen, is second after draining 75.5 percent of her attempts (37 of 49).

Rapone’s teammate Carly Senko is second behind Partridge in 3-point goals with 24.

Waters is a close third with 23, while Kauffman and teammate Ericka Warvell have 22.
