County Girls Leaders: Partridge stays hot for Union
Jan 13, 2010
Savannah Partridge has picked up right where she left off.

The Union High guard, who led all county girls basketball players in scoring last year as a freshman, is tops again this season, averaging 22.3 points per game.

Partridge has 201 points in nine games. She also leads the county in 3-pointers with 24 and has recorded six 20-point outings.

New Castle is well represented among the scoring leaders with Kaylynn Waters (17.9), LaShauna Brothers (15.8), JaNia McPhatter (11.2) and Christina Talbert (8.6) all in the top 20.

The Nocera sisters, Michelle and Nicole, have helped Ellwood City Lincoln jump out to a 5-4 record. Michelle is averaging 17.7, while Nicole is coming in at 9.7. Michelle also is third in free throw percentage at 79.9.

Neshannock’s Ericka Warvell and Shenango’s Angelene Rapone lead the county in free throw percentage, connecting on 83.3 percent of their attempts.

Rapone and teammate Carly Senko are right behind Partridge for the lead in 3-point field goals. Senko is second with 20 triples and Rapone is third with 17.
