The Lady Wolverines were overmatched and outscored 38-22 in the second half as they lost in the first round of the South Side Beaver Tournament.
Ashley Washington paced Ellwood City with 15 points and Alexandra Capalbo followed with 12 markers. Washington added 11 rebounds and Capalbo grabbed 10 boards.
Casey Luck paced all scorers with 19 for the Lady Lions.
The Lady Wolverines face Western Beaver in the consolation game at 3:30 p.m. today.
