Union goes cold late against Sewickley Academy
Sewickley (67) Vs. Union (47)
Jan 31, 2015
The Scotties fell apart in the fourth quarter against unbeaten Sewickley Academy in a 67-47 loss.

Union trailed just 47-42 going into the final frame, but couldn’t keep pace.

“The fourth quarter got away from us — we couldn’t get a stop,” Scotties coach Mark Stanley said. “Defensively, we were just so poor, they were just laying it in at will on us.

“We definitely have to shore up our defense a little bit.”

Sewickley improves to 10-0, 19-0, while Union, which clinched a playoff spot last week, is now 7-4, 10-9.

Garrison Bell paced the Scotties with 20 points and also added five assists. Constantin Padure and Dominick Dudo had six rebounds each.
