Second-half outburst puts Lady ’Hounds over top
Wilmington (53) Vs. Lakeview (34)
Jan 31, 2015
Maybe the halftime break was all the Wilmington High girls basketball team needed last night.

A sloppy first half that had the host Lady ’Hounds trailing by four points was replaced with efficient defense and easy fast-break buckets in the second half of a 53-34 victory over District 10, Region 2-AA opponent Lakeview.

Jamie Thompson had 16 points and a number of steals that helped the Lady ’Hounds (2-6 region, 6-12 overall) score 24 points in the third quarter and 38 in the second half.

The full-court press that Wilmington applied was too much for the Lady Sailors (0-9, 1-17) to handle, as they were held to 15 second-half points.

The Lady ’Hounds’ Hannah Drake led all scorers with 21 points.
