The Lady Scots fell behind 19-5 at the end of one quarter and never recovered in dropping a 56-34 Section 1-A road matchup to Sewickley Academy.

Union (0-10, 2-17) trailed 30-10 at the half.

“As well as we played the other night (against Shenango) is as bad as we played (last night),” said second-year Lady Scots coach Larry Ondako. “It was a tough start and we dug ourselves too big of a hole to get out of.”

Skylar Thompson tallied 15 points for Union and Sarah Seamans supplied 13.

Maddy Casale collected a game-high 20 points for the Lady Panthers (3-5, 11-7).
