Neshannock boys rebound for win
Neshannock (59) Vs. Reynolds (46)
Dec 31, 2010
The all-around play of Neshannock’s John Sansone sparked the Lancers to a consolation victory in the West Middlesex Tournament.

Sansone scored a game-high 22 points and added six rebounds and five assists to lift Neshannock (5-2). The Lancers rebounded from a one-point loss to North East on Wednesday.

“They just picked up the intensity,” Neshannock coach John Corey said. “Defensively, we played very hard throughout the entire game. We needed to be a little more efficient, and I would say the same offensively. I was happy with the pace of the game — we like to play quick — and Sansone did a great job pushing the basketball, but the same words comes up, efficient.”

Corey was referring to the Lancers’ 13 turnovers. Their defensive effort made up for it. They led, 34-27, at halftime and outscored Reynolds, 12-6, in the third quarter.

Brandon Marinelli had 14 points and eight rebounds for Neshannock.
