The Neshannock Lady Lancers turned the defense up in the third quarter en route to a 52-35 Section 1-AA victory over visiting Beaver Falls.
Neshannock (1-0, 3-1) held the Lady Tigers to just three points in the third and used it to propel it to a third-straight victory.
Carmie Matarazzo led the way with 17 points, 12 rebounds and three assists for Neshannock, while Bella Burrelli posted 14 points and five boards. Overall, the Lady Lancers posted a season-low six turnovers.
