The Scotties picked up their first WPIAL Section 1-A win of the season with a 58-46 homecourt decision over Cornell.
Union jumped out to a 15-12 lead after one quarter, but kicked it into high gear in the second quarter and went into the half with a 36-25 advantage.
“We pressured them a little bit, got some easy looks and were able to expand the lead,” Scotties coach Dave Smialowski said. “The kids just played hard baseline to baseline.
“It definitely was nice to get that first section win.”
Benjamin Young led Union (1-2, 5-9) with 17 points, while Anthony Rush and Jullian Johnson added 12 markers apiece.
Kevin Korzen paced Cornell (0-3, 7-5) with 29 points.
