Ellwood City fell behind by seven points in the first quarter and never recovered in a 57-42 Section 2-AAA road loss to Beaver.
Ellwood City (0-6, 2-10) cut the deficit to 27-22 at the break, but Beaver (2-2, 5-4) used a 30-20 cushion in the second half to put the game away.
Frederick Roth led the Wolverines with 15 points.
