Hopewell defeats Ellwood
Hopewell (62) Vs. Ellwood City (29)
Dec 18, 2012
Turnovers — 39 in all — cost visiting Ellwood City Lincoln in the Section 2-AAA defeat.

“They killed us again tonight,” Lady Wolverines coach Jolene Servick said. “We can't turn the ball over against a team like Hopewell because they turn them into easy buckets. We are killing ourselves with fundamental mistakes.”

Asia Borders paced the Lady Wolverines with nine points and also lent a hand with four assists. Angela McCowin led the team in rebounds with 12.

The Lady Vikings (2-0, 5-0) were too much offensively for Ellwood (0-2, 4-2), taking a 30-14 lead into the half.

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, a Maryland recruit, scored 29 points to lead the winners.
