Union outscored Portersville Christian 15-9 in the fourth quarter to grab the nonsection win.
“We just made a couple good shots down the stretch,” Lady Scots coach Brian Fadden said. “We got some good looks and knocked them down.”
The win breaks a five-game losing streak for Union (2-9). Both of the Lady Scots’ victories came against Portersville Christian.
“Anytime you win a game it’s a good thing for the program,” Fadden said. “I’m hoping we can build off this for section play.”
Miranda Heaney paced Union with 14 points and Savannah Partridge was next with 12.
Mary McDonald led all scorers with 16 points for Portersville Christian.
