The Union Scotties remained undefeated with a 53-38 win in a nonsection tilt against Quigley but were far from perfect, coach Dave Smialowski said.
“I don’t know if we played with that same passion as the first three games,” he said. “It seems like we were a little bit lazy out there. It’s just something we’ve got to work on.”
Union’s Anthony Thomas knocked down five 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 29. The senior is averaging 32 points this season and is a major reason why the Scotties are 4-0.
“It doesn’t surprise me,” Smialowski said. “He’s worked hard. He knows what it takes.”
