Thanks to a 51-21 Sewickley Academy win over Western Beaver, the Lady Scots clinched their first playoff berth since 1997.

Quigley built a 47-15 halftime lead and cruised to a Section 1-A win over Union.

Bridget Boyles paced the Lady Scots (5-5, 7-11) with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Savannah Partridge, the county’s leading scorer, was held scoreless.

“This was a tough one,” Union coach Damian Cassano said. “Any time you play Quigley you expect it to be a battle.”

Kayla Taormina led the Lady Spartans (10-0, 15-2) with 20 points.
