The Lady Wolverines trailed 20-6 in the first quarter and never regrouped in the Section 2-AAA loss.
“We dug a hole early,” Ellwood City Lincoln coach Bill Gottuso said. “We clawed back and were down by six at one point. We made one of three from the line and then they outscored us 8-0 down the stretch.”
Michelle Nocera scored a team-high 15 points and added 14 rebounds for the Lady Wolverines (0-8, 4-16). Beth Roitz followed with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Ola Jaber led the Lady Trojans (2-6, 7-10) with 13 points and Olivia Thomas followed with 12.
