Blackhawk used a strong first quarter to defeat the host Lady Wolverines in Section 2-AAA action.
The Lady Cougars (8-0, 14-3) jumped out to a 38-9 lead after the first eight minutes and then held Ellwood City in check, holding them to 14 points in the second and third quarter combined.
Karington Ketterer led Ellwood City (2-7, 7-10) with 11 points.
Chassidy Omogrosso paced Blackhawk with 22 points, Courtney Vannoy contributed 16 points and Brianna Hoover tallied 11 points. Bridgette Shaffer and Madison Amalia added 10 each for the Lady Cougars.
