Tre’von Charles delivered for the Scotties in a Section 1-A road win over Eden Christian Academy.
Charles, a freshman, bucketed two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter for Union as the visitors held on. Eden Christian Academy drew within 42-34 after three quarters.
The Scotties were shorthanded with Garrison Bell missing the second half with the flu.
“This was a good win for us,” said first-year Union coach Mark Stanley. “Tre’von Charles really stepped up for us.
“We’re young and he’s the youngest. He’s doing a very nice job.”
Constantin Padure provided a team-best 13 points for the Scotties. Cornell Charles and Jullian Johnson added 12 points each. Tre’von Charles was next with 10.
Padure snared nine rebounds, while Cornell Charles and Anthony Rush handed out five assists apiece.
Carter Ehms notched a game-high 24 points for Eden Christian Academy.
