The Greyhounds took charge in the second quarter en route to a nonregion road win over Commodore Perry.

Wilmington (2-4) built a 34-20 lead at the break and continued to pull away.

“I thought we came out on a mission to get up on them,” Greyhounds coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “We wanted to make them play our style.

“They sat back in a 2-3 zone. We shot the ball well and we really forced them to guard us.”

Spencer DeMedal delivered a game-best 23 points with 10 rebounds for Wilmington. Jacob Harvey chipped in with 11 markers. Jared Berlin registered nine points, eight boards and four blocks for the winners. Marc Peoples notched seven markers and six boards.
