Union falls to Quigley
Quigley (57) Vs. Union (24)
Dec 21, 2012
The Lady Scots weren’t able to overcome a tough Quigley Catholic defense on the road.

“We turned the ball over a little bit more than we’re used to,” Union coach Brian Fadden said. “I give Quigley a lot of credit. They were the reason why we didn’t score as much.”

The Lady Spartans (2-0, 5-2) held the Lady Scots (2-1, 3-3) to 13 points after the first quarter.

“We stayed competitive in the first quarter,” Fadden said. “Mistakes we made really hurt us. Quigley took advantage of them.”

Marissa Heaney notched 11 points and led Union including two 3-pointers. Sister Miranda Heaney was next with five markers.
