Shenango falls to Beaver Falls
Shenango (32) Vs. Beaver Falls (68)
Dec 15, 2012
The Beaver Falls Tigers took command in the second quarter for a 68-32 Section 2-AA road win over the Wildcats.

Shenango (0-1, 1-3) trailed just 16-8 after one, but was outscored 23-9 in the second stanza.

“I thought our kids played hard,” Wildcats coach Bob McQuiston said. “We followed the gameplan pretty well in the first quarter; we did a good job keeping it to a halfcourt game.

“They came out and pressured us a little more in the second quarter and capitalized more on the turnovers. We didn’t want to run with them and it got into that mode in the second quarter.”

Brenton Booher boasted seven points to lead Shenango.

“I thought the kids played hard; they didn’t quit,” McQuiston said. “The score doesn’t indicate how hard the kids played.”

Drew Cook collected a game-high 16 points for Beaver Falls (1-0, 2-1).
