Poor shooting and miscues proved costly in Wilmington’s District 10, Region 2-AA loss to Lakeview.
The Lady Greyhounds (0-1, 2-2) made just 30 percent of their field goals and committed 21 turnovers as well.
“We just couldn’t put the ball in the hole,” Wilmington coach Brian Turk said. “We were cold and we started slow. We just couldn’t get over the hump.”
Leah Day recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and six blocks for the Lady Greyhounds, while Molly Zimmer added 10 markers. Ashley Gardner contributed seven boards.
