Ellwood starts slow in loss to Blackhawk

The Lady Cougars raced to a 28-5 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 69-33 Section 2-AAA road win over the Lady Wolverines.

Karington Ketterer and Natalia Greco netted nine points apiece for Ellwood City Lincoln (3-7, 6-11). Greco pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.

Madison Amalia led all scorers with 23 points for Blackhawk (10-0, 13-4), which is ranked No. 5 in the WPIAL in Class AAA by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
