Turnovers costly to New Castle girls
New Castle (19) Vs. Central Valley (49)
Jan 21, 2016
The Lady 'Canes turned the ball over 22 times in dropping a 49-19 Section 2-AAA home clash with the Lady Warriors.
"We just have to take care of the ball," said first-year New Castle coach Maria Joseph. "We weren't taking care of the ball. You need every opportunity you can get.
"But when you're turning it over 22 times, you're not getting your shots up and more chances to score. Tonight is done and we'll get back at it in practice."
Tanai Brothers and Kayla Harvey recorded six points each to lead the Lady 'Canes (3-7, 4-13).
Kaelyn Underwood notched a game-best 10 points for Central Valley (6-4, 10-5).
