Ellwood City falls in double overtime

The Lad Warriors overcame a 26-20 halftime deficit to force a pair of extra sessions and posted the crucial 49-43 Section 2-AAA victory.

Central Valley (5-4, 9-5) outscored the Lady Wolverines (3-6, 5-10), 8-2, in the second overtime to post the win. It boosted the Lady Warriors over Ellwood City Lincoln into fourth place in the section standings. The top four squads earn a WPIAL playoff berth.

Kaelyn Underwood led Central Valley with a game-high 16 points.

Allie McKelvey led Ellwood with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Karington Ketterer finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Emily Brown added 12 points.
