Union girls claim first win of season

It may have taken longer than desired, but the Union High girls basketball team finally has a win under its belt.
The Lady Scots (1-12) earned their first victory of the season with a 43-36 nonsection victory over visiting Northgate on Tuesday night.
"The girls were excited and it was great to get one," Union coach Larry Ondako said. "It's a confidence booster for what's been a tough year."
Skylar Thompson paced the Lady Scots with 21 points, six coming from beyond the arc, in the victorious effort.
