Shenango struggled in the third quarter offensively in dropping a nonsection matchup to South Side Beaver.

The Lady Wildcats were outscored 12-7 in the period as the Lady Rams took a 41-35 lead to the fourth frame.

“Shots just wouldn’t fall for us in the third quarter,” Shenango coach Brian Turk said. “For whatever reason we couldn’t find the bottom of the basket.

“I thought the girls were showing a lot of heart and they just need to find some consistency.”

Lauren Pruchnic and Amanda Herb netted 15 points each to lead the Lady Wildcats (1-2). Herb snared a team-best eight rebounds as well. Skylar Andrews was next with seven boards.

Kara Bucklen led all scorers with 25 markers for South Side Beaver (2-1).
