The Ellwood City Lincoln High boys basketball team capped a rough season with another loss Saturday night.
Slippery Rock held on in the fourth quarter to capture a 67-58 nonsection home win over the Wolverines.
Ellwood City finished 5-17 overall.
The Rockets led 32-22 at the half, but the Wolverines regrouped in the third quarter. Ellwood City outscored Slippery Rock, 19-15, in the third period to cut the deficit to 47-41 heading to the final frame.
Nick Ioanilli netted a team-high 23 points for the Wolverines. The markers represented a career high for Ioanilli, who is a junior.
Trey Moses tossed in 10 points for the visitors, while Anthony Roth added nine and Brady Kosior collected eight.
Jake Whitner paced Slippery Rock with 26 points and Brady Kadlubek chipped in with 24.
