Asia Borders delivered for the Lady Wolverines.

Borders tossed in a game-high 28 points including the game-winning field goal at the buzzer to lift Ellwood to a 44-43 Section 2-AAA road win over West Allegheny. She added team-high tallies of eight steals and seven rebounds as well.

“Asia came up big for us and kept us in the game,” Lady Wolverines coach Jolene Servick said. “She played (well on) both ends of the court.”

Kara Sainato handed out a team-best eight assists for Ellwood (1-2, 5-2) and Angela McCowin contributed five boards.

Stephanie Carnahan collected 10 points to lead the Lady Indians (0-3, 2-5).
