Ellwood City Lincoln couldn’t contain Katie Fischer in a Section 2-AAA loss at Ambridge.
Fischer bucketed a game-high 26 points, 10 coming in the second quarter, as the Lady Bridgers rallied from a 13-12 deficit. Ambridge (1-4, 4-7) outscored the Lady Wolverines (0-6, 4-9, 19-8, in the second quarter, and 17-6 in the third to take control.
“There was no change in what we were doing,” first-year Ellwood City coach Jolene Servick said. “We just had this lull and gave up four 3s to Fischer in those two (second and third) quarters.
“We gave up too many points in those quarters.”
Angela McCowin supplied 10 points for the Lady Wolverines.
