Montour took over in the third quarter and turned a close game into a blowout win over Shenango.
The Lady Spartans led, 20-15, at halftime, but outscored Shenango, 20-0, in the third period. A balanced attack aided Montour (8-1) as three players scored in double figures.
“When we went down in the first period, we got a little rattled. But we started to put some offense together and we cut the lead to five in the second quarter,” Shenango coach Brian Turk said.
Lauren Pruchnic led the Lady Wildcats with seven points. Meghan Mastroianni paced Montour with 13 points.
