Laurel committed 32 turnovers in a 58-37 loss to Bishop Canevin in the Ellwood City Tipoff Tournament.
The Spartans trailed just 18-16 after one quarter before the Crusaders started to pull away.
“I thought the first quarter we came out and we were competitive,” Laurel coach Mike Tinstman said. “I was pleased with how we played in the first quarter.
“The second quarter we just made a lot of youthful mistakes.”
Chad Long led Laurel with 12 points and Todd Fennick was next with 11.
Bobby Gustine pace all scorers with 15 points for Bishop Canevin.
