The Knights overcame a 14-point third-quarter deficit to beat Mohawk in a Section 2-AA game.
Warriors coach Kevin Wrona said his team led the entire game until the final 20 seconds. Mohawk (2-8, 6-13) was up nine points heading into the fourth quarter and ahead by eight with 2:45 remaining.
Summit Academy (6-5, 8-11), which has clinched the section’s fourth and final playoff spot, scored the game-winning layup with three seconds left.
“We didn’t defend real well in the last couple of minutes,” Wrona said. “The effort was there pretty much from start to finish. We let thing gets away.”
Jake Grim netted 20 points for Mohawk. Andrew Brown, who made a foul shot to tie the game at 57-57, scored 13.
