Lady Lancers fall to JFK
Warren JFK (38) Vs. Neshannock (36)
Feb 09, 2010
A scoreless third quarter sunk the Lady Lancers’ hopes of winning a nonsection game at Warren (Ohio) John F. Kennedy.

Neshannock dropped to 12-6 overall on the season, but still sits in second place in the Section 2-AA standings.

“If we have to lose one late, I’d rather it be a nonsection game,” Lady Lancers coach Luann Grybowski said.

Grybowski said the Lady Eagles played a triangle-and-two defense to stop Neshannock leading scorers Chelsea Kauffman and Ericka Warvell, who scored 11 and five points, respectively.

As a team, the Lady Lancers made just 15 of 55 shots.

Warvell grabbed eight rebounds and Caitlin Binder registered six boards and four steals for Neshannock.

Reesha Gaston led the Lady Eagles (8-9) with 14 points.
