The Warriors fell behind early and it cost them in a Section 2-AA matchup against New Brighton.

The Lions (5-2, 8-7) jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the first quarter and are now a half-game ahead of Laurel for second place in the section standings.

Jake Grim led Mohawk (2-6, 5-11) with 23 points, followed by Josh Morrow with 15.

Last night’s game was closed to the public. The move came after an altercation took place at Monday night’s New Brighton-Mohawk girls game.
