Wilmington (45) Vs. Rocky Grove (57)
Jan 15, 2010
The Wilmington Greyhounds committed 20 turnovers in the 57-45 nonconference homecourt loss to Rocky Grove.
“That is just not typical of my team,” Wilmington coach Will Harris said. “We’re pretty guard-oriented and we usually don’t make a lot of mistakes like that.”
Jake DeMedal paced the Greyhounds (4-7) with 19 points and Matt Moesta added 13 markers, including a trio of 3-pointers.
Darryl Pace had nine points and 10 rebounds and Bryan Pitzer came up with five steals for Wilmington.
“Bryan Pitzer came in late in the third quarter when we were down and he really provided a spark,” Harris said. “We cut it to seven in the fourth quarter and got back into the game. Unfortunately, we blew a couple of opportunities that took us out of it down the stretch.”
