Shenango took a 28-13 lead at halftime and held on for a nonsection victory.

“Our guys played hard tonight,” Wildcats coach Bob McQuiston said. “The guards did a good job penetrating, finding the open guys and getting the ball to our big men. They also did well handling the pressure defense and controlling the ball.”

Mike Murcko had 17 points for the Wildcats (6-2). Rich Gaston followed with 15 and Ryan Tanner chipped in with 12 on four 3-pointers.

“Tanner did a nice job off the bench shooting the ball,” McQuiston said.

Bryan Chieze had nine assists to go with his four points.
