Vision Quest tops Wilmington
Vision Quest (66) Vs. Wilmington (47)
Jan 13, 2010
The Greyhounds could not overcome Vision Quest’s athleticism in a District 10, nonregion rout.

“We got down 10 with three minutes left and we were forced to come out and extend our man-to-man,” Wilmington coach Will Harris said. “They took full advantage of the gaps that were created. They went right through the pressure.”

Jake DeMedal led the ’Hounds (4-6) with 17 points and three assists. Darryl Pace added 13 markers and Brandon Burk collected seven rebounds.

Wilmington, which concludes a rigorous nonregion schedule against Rocky Grove on Friday, is looking forward to the start of Region 2-AA play next week.

The ’Hounds have lost four in a row.

“We’re trying to find a team identity right now,” Harris said. “The only good part about it is that we’re 0-0 in the league.”
