The Lady Greyhounds overcame a sluggish start to beat Lakeview in a District 10, Region 2-AA contest.

Wilmington (2-0, 6-1) erased an eight-point halftime deficit with a 32-15 second-half surge.

“They showed a lot of heart,” Lady ’Hounds coach Brian Turk said. “Our defense really stepped up in the second half. That’s been our strong hold.”

Julie Burns collected her second straight double-double with a 12-point, 18-rebound performance for Wilmington.

Haley Marett added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady ’Hounds.
