Lancers dominate boards in win
Neshannock (63) Vs. North East (49)
Dec 30, 2009
The Lancers rebounded their way to a victory over North East in the West Middlesex Holiday Tournament.

Neshannock (6-1) grabbed 20 more boards than the Grapepickers and the Lancers’ Eric Bruening led the way with a team-high 14 rebounds.

Still, Neshannock coach John Corey wasn’t happy with his team’s performance following a three-day Christmas break.

“I wouldn’t say we had a strong performance at all,” he said. “We were definitely in a holiday funk. I thought we should have come out and really dominated the game.”

Joey Fontana scored 18 points for the Lancers, while Bobby Nittinger and John Sansone added 13 apiece.
