Ellwood girls rally for win

Ellwood City Lincoln rallied in the fourth quarter to post a win over Chartiers-Houston in the Riverside LGKG Classic.
The Lady Wolverines (4-1) trailed 41-38 after three quarters before outscoring the Lady Buccaneers (4-1) 16-7 in the final frame.
Michelle Nocera finished with game-highs in points (16) and rebounds (13) for Ellwood City, while Jenna Ricciuti contributed 11 markers.
Mikaela Wadding tossed in 10 points to go along with 11 boards for the victors.
Ellwood City struggled at the line, sinking just 15 shots in 36 attempts.
“We spent 30 minutes of our two-hour practice on free throws,” Lady Wolverines coach Bill Gottuso said. “Practice makes perfect, but not in this case.”
Rachel Burgess notched 14 points for Chartiers-Houston.
