NA stops New Castle
North Allegheny (56) Vs. New Castle (34)
Dec 24, 2009
The Red Hurricane dropped a tough nonsection decision to North Allegheny.

New Castle (1-5) was within six points in the third quarter when guard Corey Eggleston left the game after getting hit in the nose.

“He seems to be OK but he took a pretty good shot,” New Castle coach Mark Stanley said. “I don’t think he’ll miss any (games) but I can’t say for 100 percent.”

With Eggleston out, the ’Canes struggled to find any offense. North Allegheny (5-1) held New Castle to zero points in the fourth quarter.

Jajuan Jay led the ’Canes with nine points.
