Dallas Hartman scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to help guide the Greyhounds to their first Region 2-AA victory in District 10 play.

“Besides our game against Kennedy Catholic, which was a loss, this was the first game I was happy with the way we’ve played,” Wilmington coach Will Harris said. “We’re starting to get our basketball legs underneath us.”

Shane Wagner followed with 18 points, including three 3-pointers. Wagner added four assists and four steals for the ’Hounds (1-0, 7-4).

Rich Heran led Greenville (0-1, 4-8) with 12 points.

“We were more focused and ready to go compared to our previous games,” Harris said. “This was a nice way to enter the Reynolds game, which is Friday.

“It’s going to be a war between us.”
