The Shenango High girls basketball team ran pushed its winning streak to three last night.

The Lady Wildcats took a 15-point advantage at halftime and maintained it for a 48-33 WPIAL nonsection victory over Union.

“The team chemistry has been excellent,” Shenango coach Joe Gierlach said. “What is going on in practice is going on in the games. The kids feel really good about themselves.

Gierlach said Alexia Flynn and Emily Makarevich have “been playing really well for us.”

Danielle Dado paced the Lady Wildcats (3-0) with 16 points and Brittany Mendel followed with 11 markers. Flynn supplied eight rebounds while Makarevich added five points and eight rebounds.

Ashley Sankey and Ashley Barger each scored eight points for the Lady Scots (0-3).
