‘Balanced’ Mohawk tops Summit

The Warriors took a commanding 36-22 lead at the half and ran away with a Section 2-AA victory.

“We had a good start and they made a run, but once we separated ourselves we maintained it,” Mohawk coach Kevin Wrona said.

Jake Grim scored a career-best 27 points and added seven assists for Mohawk (4-0, 10-2), which remains atop the section standings.

Matt Lorello followed with 20 points, five assists and five rebounds. Michael Henry chipped in with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

“This was the best offensive performance of the season,” Wrona said. “We had a good, balanced performance and executed very well.”

Lawrence Lewis led the Knights (2-3, 3-7) with 13 points
