Mohawk defeats New Brighton
Mohawk (65) Vs. New Brighton (48)
Dec 16, 2008
Jake Grim scored 24 points and Matt Lorello added 22 and eight rebounds in the Warriors’ Section 2-AA win.

“Matt’s doing his thing and Jake really stepped up for us tonight,” Mohawk coach Kevin Wrona said. “If we can get some other guys to help out we’re going to be alright.”

Mohawk (2-0, 5-0) was accurate from the foul line, netting 21 of 27 attempts.

“We’ve been struggling with that,” Wrona said. “Even in practice, we didn’t do well. To come out and hit 21 of 27 with the lights shinning was big.”

Michael Henry had 10 boards to go with his eight points.

Chris Weathers led the Lions (0-1, 4-1) with 18 and B.J. Pearson had 10.
