Neshannock built a 20-9 halftime advantage and pulled away for a Section 2-AA victory over Laurel.
“The girls played good, quality defense and we shut them down when we needed to,” Lady Lancers coach Greg Huston said.
Ericka Warvell netted a game-high 18 points for Neshannock (2-0 section, 3-2 overall), while Courtney Frengel added 16.
Nicolette McCormick notched seven points for the Lady Spartans (0-2, 0-5).
“We just didn’t play well and Neshannock played really hard,” Laurel coach Jen McGarrah said.
