Mike Conglose helped the Neshannock High boys basketball team get on the right page last night.
Conglose scored 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds during the Lancers’ 64-58 exhibition victory over Frew Mill.
Conglose made 6 of 10 from behind the 3-point line.
“Frew Mill is not an easy place to play,” Neshannock coach Jim Smiley said. “It’s dark in there and they have that rubberized floor. We outscored them 23-9 in the fourth quarter and everybody contributed down the stretch. It was a nice team effort.”
Bobby Nittinger supplied 14 points and four assists for the Lancers. He made 5 of 7 from the field. Rob Davis followed with eight points and Eric Bruening had five points and seven rebounds.
Neshannock converted 23 of 42 shots and outrebounded the Longhorns, 36-22.
Frew Mill, an arm of the Youth Development Center of New Castle, was readmitted into the PIAA and is playing an exhibition schedule this season.
“It was good to get one (a win) tonight,” Smiley said. “We struggled over the weekend. Everything we did wrong over the weekend we did right tonight, so that was nice to see.”
