Beaver built a commanding 23-8 lead and cruised to an easy Section 2-AA victory over Shenango.
“We’re a young team,” Lady Wildcats coach Chris Vecenie said. “You’ll take one on the chin once in a while; a loss is a loss and we’ll have to move on.”
Angelene Rapone and Courtney Wint recorded seven points each for Shenango (0-1, 3-2).
Carly Vendemia, a Duquesne recruit, registered 24 markers for the Lady Bobcats (1-0, 3-0).
